51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Foundation to Award $300,000 in Special Grant Cycle

Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for a $25,000 grant in honor of the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Foundation’s 25th anniversary.

 

TEMPE, Ariz. (May 20, 2024) -The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Foundation, the charitable giving arm of 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ, is inviting nonprofit organizations across its 12 regional giving areas to apply for a special grant cycle to celebrate the Foundation’s 25th anniversary. Later this summer, the Foundation will award 12 organizations, one from each of the 12 regions, with $25,000 each, totaling $300,000.

“It’s exciting to celebrate the legacy of the Foundation with this round of special giving,” said Emily Dwosh, 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Foundation Executive Director and 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Community Relations Manager. “This will extend the impact of the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Foundation, giving back even more to the nonprofit partners making an incredible impact in the communities where we live and work.”

From May 20 until June 7, this special grant cycle will be open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that meet the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Foundation’s . Each of the Foundation’s 12 committees will have one $25,000 grant to award to a nonprofit organization in their area, totaling $300,000 given back during this cycle. The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Foundation was founded 25 years ago with five Southwest committees of employee-owners who reviewed and awarded quarterly grants. Now, the Foundation operates 12 giving committees around the country that award grants and organize volunteer events to support the needs of their local communities. Employee-owner committees are responsible for Foundation grantmaking designated in the areas of youth development, hunger and nutrition, basic needs and social services, and military and veterans. Last year, the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Foundation awarded nearly $1.87 million to nonprofit organizations across the United States.
