Project Overview
Utility and roadway construction and improvements are underway to support the development of a major aviation facility at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. The work will also support significant commercial development for the City of Mesa.
The team on Ellsworth Road has installed 4,027 linear feet of ductile iron waterline and three air release valves, including three jack-and-bores at box culverts, cathodic protection, and other waterline appurtenances to provide potable water to the Gulfstream Development.
Improvements to Gateway Boulevard include approximately 900 linear feet of full roadway build-out including installation of a 16-inch ductile iron waterline and 15- to 24-inch PVC sewer line, including a jack and bore, cathodic protection, air release valves, other water appurtenances and sewer manholes. Full roadway build-out includes installation of storm drainage, sewer/water, street lighting, electrical work, site grading, concrete flatwork and asphalt paving/marking.
The team will also perform a full roadway build-out of Aviation Way, including the installation of 1,190-lf of 16-inch pipe, four two-inch and three 16-inch laterals, and four fire hydrants. The scope also includes street lighting, electrical work, site grading, concrete flatwork and asphalt paving/marking.
